No Bake Protein Bites - a Healthy Alternative to Sugary Cookies
Dec 09, 2021It's COOKIE Time!
I love to make these during the holidays (and other times!) so I can enjoy a sweet treat that won’t derail my health and fitness efforts. They make a great grab-n-go snack if you’re super busy and getting hangry. Your family may not even notice these are a healthier option!
INSTRUCTIONS:
Combine oats, protein powder, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
Add almond butter, honey, and vanilla. Stir to combine. It should be slightly sticky, but still crumbly (if too sticky, try adding a dash of unsweetened almond milk, but too much liquid and they won’t hold their shape).
Mix well with your hands, then form into balls. Chill in fridge for 30 minutes. Store, covered in fridge.
Options: For a little more festive flair, roll in crushed nuts, cocoa powder or coconut flakes.
If you ENJOY your treats, in moderation and guilt-free. There is a healthy balance between feeling deprived and going off the rails... aim for that. If you need a little fitness jump-start to keep you moving over the Holidays, grab my FREE 7 DAY FITNESS RESET HERE
